Meghan Markle attended a women-only 'ultimate girls' weekend' retreat in Sydney, where guests paid up to £1,700 for the opportunity to hear her speak and pose for photographs. The Duchess of Sussex spent just over two hours at the five-star InterContinental Coogee Beach hotel, with reports suggesting she could earn as much as £130,000 for her appearance. The event, described as an empowering and restorative retreat, included wellness sessions, inspirational talks, and group activities for around 300 attendees.
Her appearance came on the final day of her visit to Australia with Prince Harry. The couple also attended a rugby match in Sydney, where they were seen in the hospitality section greeting officials and enjoying the game. As they left the hotel earlier in the evening, security intervened when a man approached their vehicle attempting to perform a local drinking stunt.
Earlier in the day, Harry and Meghan met survivors and first responders affected by the Bondi terrorist attack in December 2025, offering support and hearing personal accounts of the tragedy. They also took part in a sailing event on Sydney Harbour to promote Invictus Australia and met members of the public at the Opera House. Their visit involved significant police security, amid debate over the cost of protection funded by Australian taxpayers.
