A doctor working at Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust has been suspended for two months after reposting conspiracy theories on social media that claimed Jews were behind the September 11 attacks. The Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service found that Dr Najmiah Ahmad had shared offensive posts, including images and comments linking Zionists to the attacks, which led to a complaint from the Jewish Medical Association. During the hearing, Ahmad stated she did not understand the antisemitic implications of the content and claimed she was using social media as a research tool. The tribunal concluded that while her actions were naive and seriously offensive, there was not enough evidence to prove they were motivated by racial or religious hostility. Ahmad has since undergone training and mentoring regarding her use of social media.
